Description

Gomata’s desi ghee is an essential by-product of desi cows native to India. It is produced from the authentic churning method, in which the milk is obtained from the cows which are allowed to freely graze in the open environment to obtain butter. The butter derived from this method is then turned into Gomata’s desi ghee through a process of slow heat. With research conducted over the years, ghee has been proven very beneficial and all the western ideologies, which stats ghee is unhealthy are false. In fact, in the Ayurveda it has been called “The Liquid Gold” and improves the absorption and assimilation. It nourishes ojas, tejas, and prana and makes the body flexible. Ghee is a yogavahi– a catalytic agent that carries the medicinal traits of herbs into the seven tissues of the body.

Ghee only contains high amounts of calories sourced from saturated fats (also called as good fat) and all other nutrients such as proteins, fiber, carbohydrates, calcium, which are removed in the process of formation. Therefore, a lactose intolerant person can also consume ghee without worrying any allergies. These saturated fats act as a lubricant and are essential for the overall well-being of the body. It removes all the toxins present in our gut, thus making way for proper digestion of useful nutrients. This way ghee aids weight loss by burning the stubborn fat in the body, as the type of saturated fat it contains is a short-chain fatty acid. It is said that, ghee should be given to a lactating mother as it adds nourishing qualities to the breast milk and which further benefit s the newborn child. In addition, ghee is also rich in conjugated linoleic acid which is proven to be beneficial for conditions like cancer, high cholesterol, and obesity.
