Gol gappa origins can be traced back to the Mahabraat. The newly wed Draupadi was asked to prepare a dish by her mother-in-law Kunti. She was given some vegetables and dough to cook and that was where phulki was made which was later made as gol gappas.

Gol Gappa Masala by Munshi Panna is a combination of different herbs and spices to prepare mouth watering and spicy gol gappas. ‘Phulki’ is considered to be the predecessor of gol gappa. Gol gappa origins can be traced back to the Mahabraat. The newly wed Draupadi was asked to prepare a dish by her mother-in-law Kunti. She was given some vegetables and dough to cook and that was where phulki was made which was later made as gol gappas.

It is a very popular street style Indian food in the northern and central part of India. You can prepare this tasty spicy snack with this masala just like how they make it in the streets. It consists of Ingredients like Pudina or mint, amchur powder etc that act as a coolant for the body and also other ingredients that make up this masala that is beneficial for health.

Active Ingredients :

Indian mango (Mangifera indica): Indian mango has antiseptic and astringent properties.  It acts like a laxative and cures problems like diarrhea, dysentery,  anemia, respiratory issues like bronchitis, asthma, cough, toothache, rheumatism, piles and insomnia. It has a very sour flavor that enhances the taste in food items.

Mint (Mentha): Mint or pudina is known to be rich in nutrients. It helps reduce irritable bowel syndrome, helps in digestion, acts as coolant for the internal system, increases energy and makes you feel fresh and active. It also improves brain function and reduces breast feeding pain and helps in getting rid of bad breath.

Black salt (Black salt): Black salt is known for its digestive and healing properties. It is also used in culinary dishes. Due to its Laghu and Ushna properties it increases the secretion of bile in the liver, improves digestion, increases appetite and treats constipation as it also acts like a mild laxative. It also maintains the blood sugar level of the body thus helping problems like diabetes. Pippali (Piper longum): Pippali is commonly used to treat problems of bronchitis, constipation, asthma, gonorrhoea, diarrhoea, stomach-ache, respiratory infections, diseases of the spleen, cough and cholera. 

Composition of Gol Gappa Masala: Edible common salt (Edible common salt), Dry mango, Mint (Mentha), Caraway seeds (Carum carvi), Black salt (Black salt), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), White pepper (White pepper) (Aegopodium podagraria), Citric acid (Citric acid), Black pepper (Piper nigrum), Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Tamarind (Tamarindus indica Imli), Pippali (Piper longum), Asafoetida (Ferra assa-foetida).

How to use :

Add 2-4 teaspoon of it to the water. Store in a cool and dry place.
