Jawarish Jalinus is a classical semisolid traditional Unani formulation clinically used for the treatment of weakness of vital organs, liver, and stomach. It is a polyherbal Unani formulation, which is used for the treatment of diseases of the digestive system. Its beneficial effects are observable on the stomach, liver and other vital organs (heart, lungs and brain).

It improves liver function, reduces palpitation, alleviates headache and prevents urinary stone. Jawarish Jalinus is used in the management of liver disease, headache, cough, hemorrhoid (piles), gout, eczema, polyuria (excessive micturition) and kidney stone. It also prevents premature whitening of hair and maintains the natural colour of hair. It is quite effective in treatment of General weakness, A weakness of stomach, liver and vital organs, Abdominal pain and cramps, Flatulence, Loss of appetite, Bad breath, Palpitation, Headache, cough, piles, Gout, eczema, Polyuria, frequent or excessive micturition as well as Kidney stones.
Asaroon (Asarabacca) – Asaroon has been traditionally used as a mild relaxant. Asaroon (Tagara) is an aphrodisiac and diuretic. It helps to treat epilepsy and acts as a cardiac & nervine tonic. It is beneficial in anxiety and helps to cope up with stressfull conditions. Asaroon (Tagara) is specially recommended to treat sleep disorders. Asaroon (Valeriana wallichi) root stocks are aromatic. They yield aromatic oil, which contains valeric acid. It is a very good relaxant and used in insomnia and sleep disorders.
Chirayata (Kiratatikta) – Chirayata is an excellent remedy for strengthening the stomach and promoting its action. It is used in the treatment of dyspepsia and diarrhea. Ch iretta stimulates the digestion and helps to normalize blood sugar, which makes it useful for diabetics. The bitterness of the herb stimulates saliva and ga stric juices, which help stop nausea, bloating, indigestion and hiccups. It is also used for fever and to rid the body of parasites. It is a tonic for the heart, liver and eyes, and can be useful to rel ieve sciatica, cough, scanty urine and melancholia.Chiretta is used as a preventative meas ure for malaria during epidemics. It is given as a tonic to people convalescing from a long illness.
Cinnamomum zeylanicum – Cinnamon is thought to have many medicinal and soothing properties, and is used frequently in Chinese herbal medicine. The distinctive smell and flavour of cinnamon comes from the essential oils contained in the bark, called cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde displays anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Cinnamon also contains large amounts of polyphenol antioxidants. Antioxidants can help protect the body from disease and are found in fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. The antioxidants in cinnamon have been found to have anti-inflammatory effects.
Black Cardamom – Cardamom may help lower blood pressure, most likely due to its antioxidant and diuretic properties. Certain compounds in cardamom may fight cancer and stop the growth of tumors in mice and test tubes. Human research is needed to validate if these results apply to humans as well. The antioxidant compounds in cardamom may help protect cells from damage and slow down and prevent inflammation in your body.
Composition: every 5 g contains: Pistachio mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) – 0.125 g, Jatamansi (Nardostachys jatamansi) – 0.050 g, Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) – 0.050 g, Chinese cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) – 0.050 g, Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) – 0.050 g, Holly Pluchaea/Rashna (Alpinia galangal) – 0.050 g, Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum) – 0.050 g, Musta (Cyperus rotundus) – 0.050 g, Ginger (Zingiber officinale) – 0.050 g, Pippali (Piper longum) – 0.050 g, Black pepper (Piper nigrum) – 0.050 g, Susserea (Saussurea hypoleuca) – 0.050 g, Scarlet / Agar tree (Aquilaria agallocha) – 0.050 g, Indian valerian (Veleriana wallichii) – 0.050 g, Common myrtle (Myrtus communis) – 0.050 g, Swertia chirata (Swertia angustifolia) – 0.050 g, Saffron (Crocus sativus) – 0.050 g, Cane sugar (Saccharum officinarum) – 3 g.
Hamdard Jawarish Jalinus 5 -10 grams to be taken after meals with water or as directed by the physician.
Hamdard Jawarish Jalinus is recommended in abdominal distention, hyperacidity, heaviness after meals, constipation, burning sensation in the chest, anorexia, flatulence.
Usually recommended to use under medical supervision since overdose or excessive use may result in diarrhoea or other related digestive problems.
