Description

Hamdard Khamira Marwareed Khas is a very useful and beneficial Ayurvedic medicine used in the  treatment of several cardiac abnormalities. It helps in eradicating weakness of heart. It provides  strength to both heart and mind . It regulates the blood pressure and is very effective against typhoid,  chicken pox, and smallpox. It quickly restores energy in convalescent patients. The word Khamira in the  Unani system of medicine indicates fermented confection, first introduced by the Hakeem of the Mogul  period.

Khamira is a semi-solid preparation — a type of Majoon, which is prepared by adding a  decoction of herbal drugs or powdered drugs to a base (Qiwam) made up of sugar or sugar with honey.  Other than herbal ingredients, animal and mineral origin drugs are also mixed, either by making solution  in aqua or as a micro-fine powder. Scented drugs such as saffron and musk are mixed when the  decoction gives a white fermented appearance. Drugs used for the heart are made in such a form so  that they are easily absorbed and can produce rapid action.  

Active ingredients: 

Marwareed (Pearl) – It is antacid, aphrodisiac, a powerful cardiac tonic, mood elevator and highly  stimulant. Other medicinal virtues ascribed to pearl are antiaging, emetic, laxative, nutritive and  sedative. It is a rich source of calcium and is useful in heartburn, bilious affections, low fevers and checks  burning micturition. 

Kehruba – Vateria Indica (Gum) – Acacia has been used in medicines, baking ingredients, tools, and  woodwork for centuries. Acacia gum has a naturally sticky texture. Materials with this property are often  used to reduce irritation and inflammation. The gum has been shown to be especially effective in easing  stomach or throat discomfort. Acacia is often used in topical treatments to help wounds heal. Doctors,  scientists, and researchers believe that this effect may be due to some of its chemicals, such as alkaloids,  glycosides, and flavonoids. 

Chandan Safed – White sandalwood is used for treating the common cold, cough, bronchitis, fever, and  sore mouth and throat. It is also used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs), liver disease, gallbladder  problems, heatstroke, gonorrhea, headache, and conditions of the heart and blood vessels  (cardiovascular disease). 

Tabasheer – Vanshlochan (also known as Tabasheer, Bamboo Silica, & Bamboo Manna and spelled as  Banslochan & Tabashir) is siliceous resin and bamboo exudate, which is a form of herbal silica obtained  from female bamboo trees. Vanshlochan secretes from nodes of bamboo trees. It is collected from the  female bamboo tree’s nodes for therapeutic uses, as used in Ayurvedic Medicine and Unani Medicine.  Tabasheer is claimed to provide a variety of health benefits. It is variously regarded as an antipyretic,  antispasmodic, antiparalytic, restorative and aphrodisiac. 

Sharbat Anar – Sharbat anar contains Punica granatum (Aabe Anar Shirin) and Sugar (Qand Safed).It  strengthens the heart and liver, gives a cool feeling to the body and quenches thirst. Sharbat anar is  used in diarrhoea, excessive Thirst, liver dysfunction, weakness of Liver, nausea and vomiting. 

Sharbat Seb – A medium apple — with a diameter of about 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) — equals 1.5 cups  of fruit. Two cups of fruit daily are recommended on a 2,000-calorie diet. Apples are a good source of  fiber and vitamin C. They also contain polyphenols, which may have numerous health benefits. Apples promote heart health in several ways. They’re high in soluble fiber, which helps lower cholesterol. They  also have polyphenols, which are linked to lower blood pressure and stroke risk. 

Composition: every 5 grams contain: White sandalwood (Santaum album) – 39.13 mg, Pandanus roof (Pandanus tectorius) – 0.15 ml, Cane sugar (Saccharum officinarum) – 4.108 g, Forest apple (Malus sylvestris) – 434.7 mg, Lemon (Lemon extract/Sat Leemun) – 6.52 mg, Natron banjawi (Natroon banjawi) – 6.52 mg, Silver foil (Warq nuqra) – 19.56 mg, Molusk shell powder (Mytilus margaritiferus/marwareed saeeda) – 22.82 mg, Green jasper powder (Yashab sabz saeeda) – 22.82 mg, Amber (Pinus succinifera) – 22.82 Mg, Jaharmohra pishti (Jaharmohra) – 15.22 mg.

Dosage: 

Hamdard Khamira Marwareed Khas can be taken in 3-5 grams before breakfast or as directed by the  Physician. It should be used under medical supervision.
